Here is the video of the huge crash that suffered former Formula 1 driver Anthony Davidson at the 2012 Le Mans edition. So far Davidson have being reported to have two broken vertebrae; T11 and T12. In an interview after the crash Davidson said that he closed his eyes and went into a brace position before hitting the wall, he said in an interview “I reopened my eyes and realised I was still here”. It shows us how fearless this professional drivers are and how they are mentally prepared knowing the risk they run every time they compete. Luckily security measures have helped immensely to reduce fatal accidents in the racing world, although there still a big gap to cover on that end.
